Looking for help with my April contest submission.

Like most people, I get my DSLR ( last May ), and shoot lots of photos.
I even read a few books. Read a few online sites. Watch a few videos.
Practice infrequently.
Bought a book on composition.
Bought another book on composition.
Repeat to myself "rule of thirds" and still shoot straight down the middle.

Beyond cropping ( probably 1/4 are cropped ), I don't really do much. I'm a weenie and use Picassa for photo editing / management.

With all that out of the way, help me pick a photo for each category. I'm doing what I was trained to do as a youth -- the shotgun approach.

#3 for flowers is the best out of those, however the OOF area which is front and center is quite distracting.

from your perspective, which ones give you the "wow' factor? Which ones really grabs you when you look at them. All of the photos have their strong points, but none of them really make an impact. Don't take it as bad, but usually you will shoot many pics with only a very few that give the impact.

if i choose the ones that gave me the best visual response, i would go with #2 in the flowers, and #3 in the landscape. Sorry, none for the other.
