Looking For Help On Speaker System

Hey guys, I currently have the Altec Lansing ADA 995 Lucas Surround 5.1 system on my computer. I have it hooked up through my dvd player and use it mainly for music and watching dvd's, not much gaming. It sounds cool enough to me, but what am I missing out on with the Klipsch Ultra 5.1 system? Is it worth making the upgrade?? Also, the sound card I have on my computer that came with the Lansings (Santa Cruz I think), will that suffice for the Klipsch system if I go that route or is there a sound card upgrade I need to make also. Thanks for any and all replies. Sorry for the double post, I'm a newbie!!
