PLEASE when POST threads asking for input on system builds tell us...
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
I want to use it for gaming, but I also use it for regular stuff (budgeting, internet, etc...).
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread.
I want to spend less than $400 on the remaining parts.
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
USA
4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
Given what I read, I think Intel is the best bang for the buck.
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
I have an ATI 9800 Pro AGP. Depending on what you say I may reuse this.
I also have an Antec PS, but it is pretty old.
6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
Not really.
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
Probably not OC - have two young kids and want to spend time with them.
Ideas? Thanks.
