I'm going to be builing a new computer very soon. My budget is not really a issue. I will be useing it mostly for FSX and photography work. I will probably get a E6850 for now as FSX is CPU dependent not Video. I do not intend to ever go Sli or Crossfire. Do I need to go P35 or X38? I will probably upgrade to Penryn but not for quite a while. I also do want to OC . Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I really like my computer I just built. Same processor you are using and very good temps. Also, check out Anandtech's review of my board.

IP35-E, IP35, and IP35 Pro are based on the same core design with minor changes in board layout to accommodate additional bells and whistles. These boards should be able to hit 490-500MHz FSB with minor bump in VTT, NB, and SB using quality RAMs.

umm not that easy SR. maybe a lucky few, but most have a hard time with it.

Key is to have a good CPU and RAMs. Most E21x0 and E4xx0 chips are capped at 425MHz FSB. Not many Exx0 chips can crack the 500MHz FSB barrier. Garbage OCZ RAMs will need more Vcore, VTT, NB, and possible SB.
