I was searching newegg and it looks like they have some good deals on headphones. But here is my problem, I know nothing about headphones. This is my budget, $50. I know thats not a lot but it's was I have to work with. I like the big ones that go over the ears.

uses:
Gaming (xbox360/original xbox)
movies (playing on xbox 360 and pc)
Music (pc and phone)
Tv (netflix, hulu, cbs, internet streaming)

I'll be hooking these up to my pc and when playing xbox I'll be hooking them up to my tv. And I might get a headphone amp next year if the fund are there. So yeah, please recommend me some headphones, thanks guys :)

EDIT: looks like amazon might have better deals

Are the Sennheiser HD 202 II worth getting at $20? Or should I find something right at the $50 mark and use my full budget? I just want the best i can get with in my budget :)

EDIT 2: How about these? http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD...NG/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&qid=1321509240&sr=8-22
or what about this combo? http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD...TAYI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1321508857&sr=8-3 plus these http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E5-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B001P9EQH8/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b

You can get the Sennheiser HD448 at Amazon for $55. They have 32 Ω impedance so you won't need an amp to drive them. However, because these are closed circumaural cans, your ears will be really sweaty and hot after a while.

You won't need an amp for your headphone until you reach the $200 mark. Don't waste money on a $20 pair of headphones if that's gonna be your primary headphone for home use. Invest on a good pair that's in your budget.

Here are probably the top two headphones you can get under $50:

http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-RP-H...1499658&sr=8-1

http://www.amazon.com/Superlux-681-D...1499658&sr=8-4

The Panasonics sound really good for the price. You might want to shop around. I got mine for $30, but they are totally worth $45-50. Nice sound overall, trending more towards a bass heavy sound without being overwhelming. They compare favorably with some headphones priced around $100 that I've heard. HOWEVER, they do feel a bit...cheap? Like you definitely would be screwed if you ripped the cable out accidentally, and the plastic feels flimsy and cheap. Quality control seems to be a slight issue for some, but I still would highly recommend them simply for their sound. Most people have no issues with them.

The Superlux headphones will probably have less bass, but it will also probably be better defined than the Panasonics. They will also probably have more treble, which some can find to be too fatiguing on the ears. I've heard a similar model and quite liked them. Fantastic for the price. They're a bit goofy looking and definitely bigger than the Panasonics. However, build quality will be much better on them.

I would place these above the HD448 and HD555...or, really, any headphones in this price range. Don't even consider the HD200 line from Sennheiser...definitely not worth the price with options like these.
