Looking for hardware firewall recommends

I wanted to see if anyone had recommendations on firewall hardware. Looking for something to go between my WiFi router and Dell Managed Switch.

I have a rack and wouldn't mind a rack alternative, but it doesn't have to be. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Two come to mind. Sophos Firewall or Untangle. You can run them in an ITX computer with adequate RAM and dual NICs.

Not that it matters, but I ended up going the pfsense route. It is simply amazing what this software can do. I picked up a Zotac CI323 that has 4 Core Intel N3150, 8GB Ram, SSD and 2 NICs. It also has built in Intel wireless ac, but pfsense is based on FreeBSD and they wont have drivers for it until the 11.0 release in a week or so. That's fine with me because I'm using a Netgear R7000 as my AccessPoint right now.

I've got pfBlocker, Squid, Snort and LightSquid installed and running so far. It's nice to have the built in ClamAV antivirus right there on the firewall to provide that extra bit of security. All around I'm happy with it.

Do you have a business email address? If so take a meraki security appliance webinar demo. They will then ship you a free MX-64 firewall with 3 years of their advanced security licensing (content filtering, IDS, Cisco AMP, etc). Best damn home firewall ever.

I do have a small business email that I can use. I work for a large corporation, but I do some side business and have an email that I can use. I've never heard of Meraki? Let me look into it and see what it's all about. Thanks for the heads-up!!

They are more Mid Market business equipment division of Cisco. Watch the webinar and I think you will be impressed. You can also get a free 8 port PoE switch and a free wireless N access point using the same method.
