In about 4-6 weeks I will be upgrading my old (reaaaaaly old) ABIT BH-6 MB which I bought in Oct 98 and a Slot 1 P3 750Mhz; and also virtually everything else inside the case of major consequence. What I'd like to do is run some comprehensive benchmarks on my system. I'd like to test my CPU, RAM, Graphics, and Hard drive system. I'd like to find a FREE program on-line that measures all of these, and then hopefully I can compare them to other systems for reference. Also, it would be nice as well but not a absolute necessary, but any type of application benchmark that I can run on my system to measure things like MS office apps n such.
ALSO, please note that I'm running Win 98 but when I get all o my new hardware and stuff, I'll be installing WinXP Pro, so if there is any free benchmarks out there that can handle the same O/S's as well AND DirectX 8, that would be great.
BOTOH, I'm a bit worried that my hardware is too old as it is now. O well :-(
