Question Looking for good solid WiFi Router

Ok I was looking for a Tomato compatible router but right now I don't care. I need a good stable router that has decent range and is pretty much no frills. It needs to have a decent interface. I would prefer gigabit Ethernet but I can live without that and just run from a 1G switch. Most of my stuff is old and won't run off anything but 2400Ghz. You get on Amazon and try to find a good router and ALL OF THEM seem to have problems of some sort. There are too many bells and whistles. I just got fiber internet and I don't have a way to access it other than one hard wired device at a time.

If all you need is 2.4Ghz, a Tplink Archer C5 or C7 will work great and be more than you need. Keep in mind that consumer stuff isn't designed for stability. If you want stability and reliability, get a used enterprise grade router and use the C5/C7 as an access point (that's what I do).

Ended up with ASUS RT-AX55. It seems to be getting the job done 240 Mbps from fiber. I have not tried device to device but much faster that I am use to.
