Looking for good Ramen (or Japanese noodle/soup) restaurant

The title and subtopic say it all. I'm looking for a Japanese restaurant that serves ramen, or some other noodle food in Indianapolis (I live ~20 miles east of Indy).

Anyone know of anything? I've looked online, but I still can't be sure.

I found Yelp.com to be a great place for finding good restaurant s. I used it for a recent trip to Chicago and another to Cincinnati and I haven't been let down yet since the reviews seem to be pretty reliable.

If foud myself in a restaurant that served raman noodles I'd leave and look for better fare at McDonald's.

Why on God's earth would you pay for ramen noodles at a restaurant???

ramen is not just the dry packs of noodle.

In japan they have ramen restaurants that make fresh ramen.

Kind of like the vitenamese have "pho" restaurants.

There are a couple ramen placees in my city.

Cheers,
Aquaman

Maybe because you fail to understand ramen is not supposed to be instant? There are plenty of ramen houses where they only serve ramen.

There was a GREAT noodle shack around 96th St. and Hague Rd (yes...close to the Shane Co.). Ichiban was the name of the place I believe.

EDIT: FOUND IT! Okay...so more like 82nd St and I-69. Still...GREAT NOODLES!

Real ramen is so delicious... packed with fresh greens and kamaboko. Good luck on the search for a good restaurant.

How are you positive that I'm from Greenfield?

Ok, well I am. I'm not sure who Josh Parker is...Has he graduated yet?

Anyways, I appreciate everyone's help. Is there anyone else that could help as well?

I saw (online) a couple places that looked decent...Ichiban Noodles, was one (someone mentioned it here). How was it (especially for Ramen)? I also saw that Sakura was good, but more expensive than I'd like.

I feel sorry for those that don't truly understand the greatness that "real" ramen can be.

I used to go there about 3 days a week for lunch for quite some time. I bet I sampled just about everything from the menu and I didn't come across a dish I didn't like! The ramen there was quite good from what I can remember, but I'm no expert on ramen.

Why go to a steak house and get a steak when you can just get a salisbury steak hungryman from the store......

You are without a doubt retarded.

I don't think you understand the difference between packaged ramen and the kind they serve up in restaurants/shacks in Japan.
