looking for good mac forums

i've been to maccentral and macnn but i find there forums difficult to use

i have an imac g3 500 that i want to put to use and h/w books and s/w books on macs aren't entirely helpful

on a side not i also like intel and amd so i'm not really a mac person

on another side note the imacs are a waste of money, if you want an apple machine get one of the towers
 
i just want to learn some of the mac specific h/w and some of the mac specific s/w

also some of the history of the mac line

eg what file structure do they use in their hdds and has it always been this way?

eg what does the H in HFS stand for?🙂
