well, its that time! getting a new pc, and gonna buy a notebook. anyways, im looking for sometihng fairly light, based on centrino technology, (1.6 ghz preferable). 14 inch is good. preferably cd burner/dvd reader in one (or at least cd burner) and dun need a 3.5 inch floppy really, itll just make it bulkyer (i think alot of laptops these days come without floppy's, correct?)

looking to spend about 2750 canadian.

Not sure how much that would be in US dollars, but take a look at the Dell 600m, everyone here seems to love it.

Same as above, take a look at Dell Inspiron 600m.

IMO it's not worth the extra $ to upgrade to a 1.6 ghz, simply too expensive compared to the performance gain.

I just checked the USD\Canadian D exchange rate. He has a budget of $1843. He should be able to get a nicely equiped Dell 600 for that price.

Yes, I would suggest a Dell D600, the same laptop I'll be getting soon enough. 🙂
