Sorry to bombard you guys with all these questions but I have to get my searching wrapped up by tonite (I'd like to order all my stuff so it can atleast get on its way tomorrow or Tuesday)

Anywho, in the market for some good gaming headphones. Don't mind paying a bit if its worth the performance. I heard that Sennheiser HD-570s were pretty good especially for gaming but I can't find them on the Sennheiser site. Any other recommendations as to good, top quality cans? Also, I'd like to know if I would have to get a boom microphone because I noticed that the higher model headphones are just that headphones so I'd like some recommendations on boom microphones also... Thanks in advance.

Audio-Technica A500. ~$100 from Audiocubes.com

Closed cans. Doesn't require amp. Excellent sound stage for gaming.

To maximize Senn HD650 performance, you'll need a very good source, very good amp, and recable.

The guys over at the site I mentioned above would be able to answer all your questions. But I warn you, the who audiophile thing can end up costing you big $$$. Much like many here don't mind spending a lot on computer gear, they do the same for their audio stuff. So if you get stuck there you may end up with a bigger whole in your pocket than you expected :).

Yeah, I've learn to hide your wallet or have a buddy system (have a friend make sure you're sane before you acutally buy something).

Going into a HT forum or any audio forum will generally get you in the mindset that if you spend just a little more, you can get ____ and then you might as well get ____... and so on. Prepare yourself with a firm budget before you venture into the audio area.
