A friend of mine accidentally deleted some needed files and needs my help recovering them.

I found Restoration, a freeware program but I am not sure how good it is. Recover4all I can use to find files but I need to buy it to restore.

My friend can pay for it but I want to make sure that the program is good before buying.

Any other free or pay programs would be appreciated.

Thanks

Recovery with restoration worked but some files were partially or completely overwritten.

Some damaged files were in .WPD word perfect format. I don't know the wpd format to well. Is there a way to see partial wpd files as plain text or some other way to access the partial document.

Thanks

I use file-scavenger.
It costs 30 bucks but is well worth it.
The demo only lets you look at files that can be recovered.
That program found stuff on a volume that Windows Disk Manger said was corupted and unreadble.
