Looking for good 5.1 receiver for under $200

I am replacing a receiver for my computer speaker system and am looking at the Sony STR-DH500 at Best Buy for $200 while or on Amazon where it's $160. I know this is low end for receivers but are there any other receivers I should consider? I tend to blindly stick with Sony.

Thanks

Not a great way to end up with good audio hardware.

Yeah...that's why I was asking this in a forum...was trying to not just stick with Sony.

I have a 5.1 set of decent small speakers with a subwoofer I use for movies and gaming. I need an optical in connection from my sound card and 5.1 capability with DTS.

I like the Pioneer VSX-519V-K I got at Bestbuy a couple weeks ago. It was just over your target at 205, but if you use bing cash back it'll drop down a bit.

older 5.1 receivers show up all the time in classified ads and online auctions. People who are upgrading to HDMI and/or 7.1 are getting rid of older receivers that should still meet your needs. I'd look for an onkyo, denon, harman kardon or yamaha, any of them will sound better and last longer than a sony.
