Looking for full tower with the best air cooling

I'm willing to spend <~$200. Looking for preferably a full tower that has superior air cooling as I don't plan on investing in LC quite yet. I don't mind buying optional fans either.

I've been looking at the CM Cosmos S, Antec 1200, Antec P193

It seems like the HAF 932 would be the best although I really don't like the military styling of it but if there's nothing as good I'd rather have better cooling over style.

The 1200 is amazing at cooling. Like, 3 intake fans, 1 side fan, 200mm top exhaust, 2x 120 exhausts, I mean, yeah. And it's damn sexy.

I would go with the 1200 but the lack of a tool-less design is a bit of a turn off. Perhaps I'm over stating the importance of tool-less? I mean how often will I change stuff?

CM690. Two side fans blowing down on the entire motherboard should not be underestimated. Get the warm air away from the critical components ASAP and mixed up with the rest of the air to get exhausted!

Tool-less isn't as exciting as I thought it would be when I got my case. I have the CM690... its a great case, good airflow, plenty of fans, but I don't trust the toolless to hold any of my parts.... I screwed everything in for good measure (minus the hard drive bays, those work well).

CM RC690 is a great mid tower, if you want a full go for the HAF932. The Antec 900/1200 are all bark, no bite.

I 2nd that, no way will I trust the tool-less when my cards are as close together as they are. I still use screws, the tool-less lock down is just a cosmetic. My Xonar is so close to my 1st VGA I had cut up an anti-static bag and tape it to the back of the card.

Total bs. Mine keeps me under 40C full load. Im sure I could OC to close to 3.8 with good temps on air,but what I have works and is stable OC so I dont bother.

OP I say all those cases are great. Each has strengths weaknesses. Maybe write a pro con list for each and pick the one with the best pro list. Also, chose what is aesthetically pleasing to you. You will be looking at your case everyday won't you?

Generally, all cases tend to work pretty well... I mean the design is relatively standardized anyway. The main difference is just the number of fans, their positioning, and size. Beyond that, they should all cool relatively well. The next step is determining what looks best to you, and also works best (check for small features, say removable mb tray, or pre-cut holes in the tray, etc).

Buying a single good CPU cooler will make way more difference than choosing between a CM690 vs. an Antec 900.

That under 40c load number is as total BS as what Exc said :

unless your ambients are like 15c

to everyone saying 690 for the midtower, if you are trying to save cache sure, i would agree with that. my 690 is great, and for $80 bucks i wouldnt trade it for anything. however, i have to say the HAF 922 is definitely in a league of its own above the 690, and if i were going to get a full tower i would look into a HAF 932, or if you want a more stylish design in a lighter form factor for a bit more $, the ATCS 840 is a great alternative. I was going to get a P80 Armorsuit from lian-li right up until i got to use a couple of their cases and was honestly not that impressed with the price/quality ratio of them. it could have just been one of their cheaper models, but the ATCS 840 looks like a much better buy imo (and i got to take a look inside one at a microcenter near me, since frys doesnt carry the damn thing lol). if you like toolless designs though, coolermaster's tool free cases are pretty good for this. i had to rip the tool free expansion slot mountings off the back of my TT Armor case, but the ones on my 690 and my friend's HAF 922 and my other friends 932 all work wonderfully, at least with the cards i have.

You don't find fans in the side panel to be quite loud? Where is your exhaust(s) located?

ballatician the fan's that come with the 690 are indeed quite loud. however, when replaced with 2 low speed yate loons with rubber fan spacers and plastic screws (not as strong but they still help), the side fans are still only as loud as the fans inside the case. alternatively, any other silent fan will do the job just as well. i ordered a ton of them when i was refanning a bunch of cases since i had like 8 fans dying on me at the same time, and when you're buying like 20 fans at once it adds up a lot. saved me a ton of money and they are way better than the cheapo thermaltake/coolermaster/antec fans that came with the cases. damn things all died around the same time in each case lol
