Looking for freeware

I'm looking for a good piece of freeware that can keep a keyboard and mouse looking busy for, say, anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Preferably something that can record a macro of typing and mouse movement, and can play it back in a loop and/or with adjustable speed. It would also be nice if it could be run from an exec file (i.e., doesn't need to be installed), though that isn't absolutely necessary.

Searches yield lots of results, but things are mostly shareware that require a registration fee after a while. For instance, I really like Advanced Key & Mouse Recorder, but it's like 50 bucks after 21 days.

This seems like such an amazingly simple task, there must be something free out there.

It's worth a bump to find out what the end game is. What is the purpose of doing this? That would help narrow the search.

Sort of sounds like you want a free keylogger with playback capability.

Curious about this as well. I am not insinuating that this is what the OP is after, but most of the requests that I have seen for this type of software has been from people who wish to avoid getting booted out of a battleground in World of Warcraft for being away from their keyboard (thus not contributing to the fight, but still receiving whatever rewards that game gives you now just for being there during the fight).

It doesn't have anything to do with video games. I work at home, and my boss has recently started using some auditing tool that allows him to see when people are actually "working" (as opposed to just sitting idle). I'm sorry, but I'm just not going to sit in a chair for 8 hours straight (minus only a 30-minute lunch and a 10-minute break).

Ideas?

Your usage of the computer and accounting for your time is between you and your boss.

He trusts you to be home and WORKING - do not betray that trust.
