Hey everyone, i figured this was the place to go. I've been using eudora 2.1 FOREVER, I love it. But it has some problems with my new mail server, so i am looking for a new mail program. It needs to be freeware and I would like it NOT to support HTML or scripting of any kind. I just want plain 'ole email. Any ideas? Thanks.

Mozilla. It has a nice feature in that it can 'strip' HTML mail down to plain text, you get the plain text message without any HTML tags littering it.

I'll take a look at it - Mozilla is a web browser..right? I guess it has an email client built in then?

Take a look at Foxmail and Pegasus too. They're both standalone email clients.

I'll look into mozilla, but i'd hate to have to install a new browser to have a mail client. Thats kind of like having to install AOL to get access to the internet :D

Mozilla isn't anywhere near as intrusive as AOL, and frankly I like Mozilla better than IE =)

I agree with Nothinman, Mozilla is an excellent browser, email, etc. package, so it should be exactly what you need. Besides how can you beat a browser that has tabs, can stop popups, blocks images, etc. :)
