Looking for free security/filtering software and ideas

I really like the features and performance of Opendns however in order to use It I have to actually go to the location of the computer I want to use it on and manually add that computer from its home network location.
Naomi is decent but I can see how it could lead to problems. What I'm looking for is software that is free and that will work even if the computer changes location.
Anyone have any idea?

should have some free options that may suit your needs.

I have done searches before on there, never actually used any of the programs to a large extent, but you may be able to find what your looking for by using appropriate search terms.
