Is this a question for RossMAN?

Google gives me too much junk to weed through. I think most of the links are "we give you free software if you buy hosting from us".

Anyone have experience with this? Need something that's reliable, secure and halfway decent.

I don't know about how secure BUT if you use Macromedia DreamweaverMX then there is an extension that adds shopping cart functionality to your website. It is pretty simple to setup and use. I used it for a class project in college.

OSCommerce

I use it - excellent open source shopping cart with a community of developers supporting it (for free). To make it secure, you just need SSL, either shared or a certificate for your site.

One more vote for OSCommerce. It can be a little tricky to get set up but once you have it figured out it is smooth sailing. PM me if you have any questions.

Well thank you folks. I figured rather than researching each and every one to death, in-the-field use recommendations are the way to go.

amdskip, I'll probably be in touch. :) My friend is commissioning me to setup his e-shop.

:) Sorry, just got excited about answering a question from someone over 3 years old (wife again, obviously). Back to the kiddos...
