remember the cpu speed affects benchmarks too - if i force my macbook to its slowest speed maybe 1ghz then the ssd reads a lower benchmark - however if i let it speedstep it reaches a higher peak performance. Some laptops say sata-2 but are limited to sata-1 (macbook again) and some even have pata to sata bridge chips.

Ok I see what your saying. My cpu default clock is 1.73ghz without turbo boost. I did check intel's rst program and it does read sata 2 speeds.

hennessy1, you are trying too hard. 😛

Just enjoy your SSD and don't worry about it at all unless you notice (not benchmark, but notice in day-to-day use) a problem.

Don't defrag, don't zero-wipe, don't endlessly benchmark and don't worry.
