I'm looking for a way to have firefox open a new window or new tab and take with it the current page that i'm on and also its history so i can browse back and forward.

So far i been able only to find an extension to open a new tab but not a new window.

This is a default feature in IE...

Not sure how to get the history, but you can duplicate windows and get the current page. I don't know the keyboard shortcut, but it's down-up in all-in-one gestures.

I looked on the list of shortcuts for firefox and i can't find such shortcut.

If you load the Duplicate Tab extension you can get a new tab duplicate window by clicking Ctrl+Shift+T

Well, maybe it must be something the gestures plugin does.

How about this one?
