Looking for feel-good song for slideshow

My dad is turning 50 this weekend and ive made him a picture slidshow, but i need some music to go with it. Some type of feel-good song. For my mom's 50th I used Queen: We are the champions. It preferably has to be between 2 and 3 minutes, and preferably a relatively well known song.

Any suggestions?

Colin Hay - Beautiful World

Heard it on the Scrubs soundtrack (but it's 4:04). I don't know how popular the guy/song is though.

The Green Day song sounds gloomy - the line 'I hope you had the time of your life' sounds like you are saying goodbye to someone dying. And the song from Dirty Dancing (as suggested by Obama) might only work if you perform a pelvic-thrusting, hip-swinging dance.

Thanks for all the suggestions, im going to need to think a little more about it, I like the dire straits song and the 100 years.

I like the greenday song, but the "had" kind of sets the wrong mood. Bittersweet symphony was my graduation song, final countdown is too overdone, Frank sinatra will make him feel old, tears in heaven is about claptons daughter dying :s. Some of the songs suggested are too slow, i need something a bit more upbeat.

Grandaddy - A.M. 180

Nice and happy and will fit in the background and not really take the attention away from the slide show itself.

Magic Carpet Ride

Silver Bird

Ticket to Ride

Radar Love

I'm getting close to that point, and these songs have always appealed to me, so perhaps they will for him also.

btw, nice idea
