You have the wrong kind of RAM for your motherboard. You're buying DDR2, whereas your motherboard has DDR3 slots.

It's also tough to give recommendations without knowing the intended use of the computer. You'll probably get a more meaningful response if you fix your links and edit your post to answer the questions in Blain's sticky.

I'd use Newegg to do your shopping. They have a much wider selection and better search feature than most other sites. Once you've nailed down the parts you want, then compare prices at places like amazon, tigerdirect and buy.com.

But the DDR2 is way cheaper!

He didn't say he should buy DDR3... just that with his mobo choice he'd have an interesting time trying to get it to work.

Exactly. I'm not suggesting DDR3, just pointing out that the two won't work together.

DDR2-1066 isn't going to help you. I'd go with DDR2-800. There's a 2x2GB Corsair kit for $25 after rebate at Newegg. If your monitor is 22" or larger, you may also want to upgrade to the 4870 1GB.

P43 is a fine chipset, but if you're intending on really cranking up the FSB you may want P45.
