I was just looking for a quick recommendation on a good software program for ripping and burning DVDs. Free is always nice, but I don't mind shelling out a few bucks if it's easy to use and reliable. Thanks!
1st. Use DVDFab Decrypter to copy the DVD to your hard drive and strip the DRM.
2nd. Use DVD Shrink to make it all fit on one DVD and/or remove parts you dont want. Select the option to turn it into an ISO.
3rd. Use imgburn to burn the ISO created with DVD Shrink.
I currently use RipIt4Me which uses DVD Decrypter, run FixVTS (through RipIt4Me), then burn it using DVD Shrink. I have not had a single problem backing up any of my movies using that method. And they are all free.
Whatever you do, don't use SPD Mobile DVD under Vista. I couldn't get the software to work no matter what I did. Too bad too, as that would have been great for work.
