I'm looking for DVD Player portable with or without screen that can play VCD, MP3, SVCD, DVD-R, DVD+R.
Any idea what it would be?

I just ended up getting a Sotec laptop for $1000 - $200 in rebates. It plays DVD and can burn cds, play games, surf the net, and a bunch of other stuff.

The battery life on portable dvd players are usually a little more than 2 hours, which is barely enough for the average movie.
