Is there a best place to buy on the net??
Are the sizes weird, or do i need to try them on somewhere to get the 'right size'?

are thy really as comfortable as everyone is telling me??

any info appreciated, I can't find many places on the web to buy them and have no experience with how their sizes may be different from the norm.....TIA

You are better off going to a mall and trying them on, because they do have very, very weird sizes. You also need to break them in, this could take weeks. But once they are broken in they are the best shoes you will ever own.

I've taken mine through snow, heavy rain, mud, paintballing, and everyday wear and tear for 1 1/2 years now; still working fine. They need to be polished every now and then but they are a great investment, you won't mind the $110 cost becuase they will last you years.

BargainOutfitters

Do a search on 'em. The sizes are usually weird, but if you keep checking back their stock changes frequently. For less than half regular retail it's worth the effort.

Definitely go try them on. Since they're made in England they don't make half sizes. I needed a 9 1/2 but had to settle for a 9 and break it in.

I've been wearing my brown pair for almost 7 years now. Been through 3 pairs of laces, and the tread is almost non existent, but that's cuz i wear them everyday and i even play ball in them.

Best pairs of shoes of I've ever owned. I plan to get another pair after these. These should last me another 2-3 years I predict. Wow, that's $108 for 10 years.

ive been wearing mine for 3 years day in day out...i go to church in them, to school, work, weddings, funerals, hiking, and more...they're great, i still use the same laces altho theyve got a few knots in them where they broke but no probs, and i replaced the insole cushion cuz it was worn flat but now they're as good as new, i plan to wear these until lthey fall apart as they are by far the most comfortable shoo ive ever worn

Just curious, did you buy your laces at a local store or did you get them through DM? I can't find my laces at the local Journeys and Overland Trading Co

i've had mine for at least 5 years now and wear them often, they are still incredibly comfortable and still have some tread left on them somehow. i'm on my 3rd pair of laces as well, but $4 every 2 years isn't so bad:)

I had a pair of boots that came to just above the ankle, I guess they were like your average high top basketball shoe. Beautiful brown in color. Only once in all my Doc Marten shopping did I find them again, and that wasn't even at the Doc Marten dept store in London. They lasted 5 years before the cloth on the inside of the shoe around the ankle started falling apart. Tread was just about gone, but otherwise the leather itself was in stellar condition.

I bought some lower cut shoes last year and love them. I wear em just about every day, school, work, my hs graduation, sister's hs graduation, whatever. They're comfortable.

Got the first pair at Nordstroms, second at some shoe store in the mall, I forget the name of it now. Worth every penny you pay for em.
