I am currently in the process of rebuilding my old computer system here; since i still love my Small form factor case it is housed in. The problem with this computer is, that; the computer case does not have an I/O shield for the motherboard connections (below is my old system). I do know that i could just dremel a slot for an I/O shield and make the appropriate adjustments for the motherboard standoff's. The problem i am having is that i do not want to take a chance of damaging the new motherboard that is being installed here as i am needing to use it also for the proper placement, measurements, etc to make the proper cuts to this old SFF case.

I am wonder if anybody would know of a company(s) that sells "display only" products; non-functional items the places like walmart... etc. use on their displays. This would be used for me for my old SFF for the proper measurements and such without having to take a chance on damaging the original mobo or having to purchase (2) mobo's.

My old system is:

Emachine EL1333G-01w SFF System

Why not just buy a new case? They make plenty of cases that are small like the one that PC is in now. Chances are, the power supply that is in your emachines now has really small cables on it that wont be long enough to reach the connectors on the new board. It also may not be powerful enough for a newer CPU/video card/etc depending on what you are putting in there.

I love the case my Emachine uses and i like to make the most usage out of my old crap before finally donating it or pitching it. The mobo i plan to use in my Emachines' old SFF case is: BIOSTAR A68I-350 Deluxe located at;

If my psu cables are too short; i have extra extension cables. This Mini-ITX mobo should more than handle the old psu.

Memory i plan on using in rebuild and HDD listed below:

-CORSAIR XMS3 8GB

-Western Digital WD Green WD5000AZRX 500GB
