Looking for decent watch around 300 bux. ideas?

dang, must be a special friend. well, if you need to take a step down to the $100 range and are looking for a sporty/casual watch then check out this casio. i've been using it for about a month and i'm extremely happy with it.

Seiko Kinetics are pretty cool. I bought one on ebay for around 295 I think two years ago. No batteries and are cool.

My Personal Fav...

I own two of these, one with black faceplate and one with a white. Both have served me well for the last three years without any problems. Extremely reliable and can be ordered with a metal band if you prefer.

Is it just me or does anyone else prefer digital watches?

Not sure if I'll ever be able to give up my Casio G-Tech watch.

Yes it's not fancy, high class or stylin' but it's cheap, comfortable, durable and I can quickly and easily tell time.

You can just call me Homer. Of course if I were Homer, there would be an attached beer spigot 🙂

I have a $30 Armitron watch with a large analog display (that looks really nice) and a small digital display. I've had it for about 3 years and really like it. The digital part is simple, just time, stop-watch, and alarm, but that is all I need. I have the looks of an analog and the functionality of a cheap digital.

I've seen several others like it, but they don't look as good. I've seen the Armitron at both Target and Sears, but can't find it online at either.

Thanks for the info, my kinda watch 🙂

Unfortunately I can't access their site from work, I'll check it out when I get home.

How is the night light, is it comparable to Casio or Timex's Indiglo?

Yeah, I couldn't get to their site either.

This one in particular doesn't have indiglo (or anything equivilant). When I did have a watch that had Indiglo, I only used it as a flashlight, and now I have my cellphone for that 😉

The hands of the watch do glow slightly, so you can figure out what time it is in low light, but you're out of luck in no light conditions.

Oh, and I wish I had $300 to spend on a friend 😉

i dont know. i really like the style of the fossils... they seem cheap, but very good for the price.

however, if you're looking for a more expensive one, maybe look into like swatch, or seiko, or something of that nature?
