Looking for customizable work laptop

Some background. I'm a dentist who rents space in an office (one chair). I have my own network in addition to a shared one with the rest of the office for digital radiographs. So the laptop I use with the shared network is a standard Dell 15 incher. For my practice part of things, I'm thinking about replacing my desktop within the next year with a laptop just to cut down on the clutter. All I know is Dell, Sony, HP, etc.

I've been doing some research and I want something more customizable. I want 4 GB memory since the program I'm using is not compatible with a 64 bit OS and I want an Intel 510 120 GB SSD. I will probably go with an i5 processor since I will just be doing basic computing although probably having 4-5 programs open at the same time. So far I have only come up with Cyberpower and Xoticpc. There are others but their systems are not downgradable. They have 8 GB of memory that I do not need and don't want to pay for. Are there other companies that I need to look at and how would you rate the ones that I have found? And would most people rate Sager notebooks a notch or two above the Dells and HPs? I have never heard of them before seeing them on Xoticpc and reading about them on the forum here.

Thanks for any help.

Edit: Looking for a 17 inch laptop
