Outpost has it for $129.99 while all the other sites seem to have it for > than $200. There is also a rebate but I got the sense that it won't be back in stock before the rebate expires.

Anyway, here are the details...what do you guys think?

4GB DDR2 / PC6400 800MHz / (2X2GB) MODULES /T W I N 2 X 4 0 9 6 - 6 4 0 0 C 5 D H X

The Twin2X4096-6400C5DHX is a 4096MByte matched pair of DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs built using Corsair's latest high performance heat sink with Dual-Path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology. This part delivers outstanding performance in the latest generation of dual-channel DDR2-based motherboards. It has been tested extensively in multiple DDR2 motherboards to ensure compatibility and performance at its rated speed. This memory has been verified to operate at 800MHz at the low latencies of 5-5-5-18. Corsair's line of 4GB memory kits are designed for PCs featuring 64-bit operating systems. Please note: Installing 4GB onto PCs with 32-bit operating systems is not advised since 32-bit operating systems do not support 4GB of system memory.

* T E S T S P E C S: Each module pair is tested together at 800MHz
* Tested and packaged in pairs
* Packaged together immediately following system test
* Tested at JEDEC standard latency settings (5-5-5-18) at 1.8V

SPD programmed at:
* JEDEC standard 5-5-5-18 values at 800MHz

Depends.
Though it sees I am too late to make a determination in your decision since the rebate has expired.
Anyway I BOUGHT 4 sticks of this Corsair ram (8gb) at frys/outpost and an email now says it was shipped. (site mentioned it was not yet in stock)

Oh getting back to the depends. It depends a lot on the mobo. I am using it with the RetailEdge system that uses an Intel DG33TL mobo. Recalling comment I read on the motherboards forum that Intel mobo's do NOT like higher voltage, I chose these.
They are timing at 5 5 5 18 @1.8volt

The other deals listed at frys (which I seriously considered)
The OCZ 2x2gb was faster (tighter) 5 4 4 15 timings but @2.1volt

And the other deal was the Patriot 2x2gb
I think were 5 5 5 12 but @2.0volt

So I went with the corsairs. (though I also bought 1 of the OCZ and will return if the Corsairs workout)

BTW when you ask a question about a component, you really have to mention the other components. They are all interrelated.

Ps: Reque$$t a BestBuy employee to send me a PM. I have a favor to a$$$k

I didn't think about that. I ended up canceling the order actually. I'll probably go with the G.Skill. As of now, these are the two planned major hardware changes...

Asus Maximus Formula
Q6600

and will be coupled with Vista Ultimate 64 bit
