I've searched through the forums, and basically the only difference I seem to have heard is that the Hauppauge WinTV Pvr-350 allows you to playback tv shows you've recorded with it and output them to your TV, so you can watch them back on your regular tv like normal, compared to the Pvr-250 which dosn't allow you to do this. Is there anything else that is different between the two?, and is what I said above pretty much correct?. I just want to make sure because I've decided to look for an add-in card instead of an AIW Vid Card, and was looking at hauppauge as an option but also the Leadtek WinFast TV2000 XP Expert (read parts of the long thread already about it), or possibly getting external digital video converter such as the Plextor M402U

I have some regular VHS tapes I want to convert, but mostly its stuff from older camcorders (VHS-C, 8mm I believe - all older and out of date camcorder formats) that I want to get to digital on my pc. Can the hauppage cards convert from all these formats into digital formats. If anyone has any suggestions, please add them in.
