I went over to a fraternity house the other night for steaks and stogies. We had some damn good cigars, but I have no way to find out what kind.

I'm looking to score a box of some prime cigars, anyone have a recommendation for a smooth sweet cigar?

a box for under $30? A good cigar will cost you in the neighborhood of $10... for one cigar. I highly recommend any of Arturo Fuente's fine line of cigars. I am particularly fond of their 858. Unfortunately they are hard to find in the states. The tobacco store I frequent has a limit of 3 Fuente's per customer. They are a very fine cigar.

Macanudo makes a couple of good ones for cheaper than the Fuente's. You could also try a Royal Coronation Punch. Used to smoke a lot of those. Were about four or five dollars from what I remember.

I like the Hugh Hefner Playboy cigars, not only do they look cool, but they are a kick ass cigar. There one of the smoothest I've smoked, not an expert, there just good.

I had a bad experience with a Partagas, but I know you can't go wrong with an Arturo Fuentes. Both available at any decent cigar shop or liquor store with a humidor.

I'll second that. Fuente's are far and away one of my favorites. I always stock up whenever I'm in NC visiting the in-laws since there's a JR Cigar outlet in their hometown. :D

The Fuente Short Stories are also a personal favorite. Very smooth smoke.

The Aurturo's in the tin are pretty good. I prefer either a good Aurturo or a Monti Cristo. Both are excellent...

Yes, I've ordered from Cigar.com before. They generally run a pretty good shop. Enjoy your Fuente's.
