Looking for Chinese Character Window Etching/Applique - Pic Inside

Similar to what I'm looking for.

Doesn't have to be exact, but looking for Chinese or Japanese characters. Preferably the meaning isn't something retarded. I'm not Asian, but many of my friends are so I don't want them making fun of what the case says .

those are prolly custom etching, someone listed a site not long ago that specialized in making custom etching.

I believe that place might have been lovermecases.com, but it seems to be down at the moment for maintenance. They had a service where they could create an applique out of a pic, but you'd have to find or draw the characters yourself to send to them. They have a collection of something like 800 pics you can choose from as well, so you will probably want to check those first.

I have no idea how much it might cost, but I'm fairly sure they can do what you want.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I was reading an article on window appliques the other day (Moddin.net arcticle here) that might help. Basically the guy bought a pack of printable window decals from Avery, and just printed out the applique he wanted.

Creating something that looks like an etch might be a little difficult since white colours will show up as clear on the decal, but maybe some sort of grey would work. I tried to pick up some of those decals this weekend, but futureshop doesn't seem to carry them.

lol, i'm not asian. i just think the characters look cool.

and for anyone that cares, i ended up going with a custom design of a dragon for my window etch instead of the characters. did this at http://www.shatteredweb.com. i'm super happy with the way things turned out. the guy i dealt with was great. i sent him an image, and we must have exchanged 15-20 emails improving the imaging, and straightening things out. things turned out GREAT, and i recommend anyone looking for an etched look to get an applique from shatteredweb. i think they also do colors - both solid and transparent.
