I am looking for a cheap, low power card for a computer to play really simple/old games.

Looking to for something without an extra power connector, and under or around $50. Ideally, no rebates (willing to pay like $5-10 more with no rebate haha).

Any good links?

Thanks!

This HD6450 DDR3 card would work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125378

$40 free shipping (but tax in CA). It has a $20 rebate, bringing it down to $20AR, but even at $40, it's a good value.

Another option is this HD5450 for $35 shipped, or $15AR: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121444.

Definitely not as fast, but if you just care about minimizing cost, this is the winner. To avoid CA tax, you can get it here: http://www.amazon.com/EAH5450-SILENT...2680331&sr=1-1

For comparison's sake, the 5450 is about the speed of Intel's built-in HD2000 graphics, and the HD6450 is about the speed of HD3000 graphics. So here's what you can expect (note that the 6450 they are benching is a faster GDDR5 variety that was never commercially available):

If you're talking about this Sapphire: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ription=hd6570

...it's a price mistake. When you click on it, it comes up as $70 before rebate. Amazon seems to list it, but it's out of stock at $50: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeo.../dp/B004XLPJOY

OTOH, if you're finding one used, obviously that's possible. A new 6570 for $40, however, would be a rare Black Friday level of deal, so it's probably expired.

Amazon let me buy it at $50. Don't mind waiting for a bit! :)

Thanks for your help.
