looking for camera

Since there are good deals around now, I would like to ask which camera is the best for around 100 bucks. I hate my old olympus C-765 camera, because it's bulky, and takes long to load and take pictures.

Really depends on what you're looking for. IIRC, the 765 is a zoom camera. You won't find a zoom camera in that range. You can get a nice low-light camera like the Fuji F20. You can also find used Canon A's for that price (4x optical zoom) as well as Fuji A series (4x zoom). Actually, you can find a fair amount of 4-6x optical zoom cameras. Canon tends to perform quite well with their A series, too. For an ultra compact, I'd suggest the Fuji F20. For a compact camera, a canon A series.

For 100 bucks you might score a great film camera with lens. For 50 bucks or so you could get a Yashica Electro 35 gsn, with 45mm f1.7 lens. It's a killer rangefinder camera. To get one I'd go to rangefinderforum.com and look for a private deal from one of the guys there that repairs these camera so it will come reconditioned and in perfect working order.

For digitals, well any of the A series canons should be good. It might be worth waiting for a month or two and pick up one of the current ones going for 150 or so as they should be dropping in price. There are some coolpixes (nikon) going for under 100 bucks, but I don't know how good they are. I am really a canon guy for digitals and go for many different brands for film cameras.
