I wasn't sure which forum, so when in doubt...
I was hoping the nice folks here at ATF could help me with some good sites who put together decent build to order laptops. I am shopping for a friend from Eastern Europe who's needs are very modest, so a Budget of about $800 is the biggest thing. He is an academic, so all he's doing is web stuff, and basic file stuff. No graphic design, No games. But he would like a DVD if possible.
Primary concerns are reliability and duribility (he's no techie) and support perhaps. Other than that he'd like to stretch the money as far as possible.
BTW i am also considering a used machine on egay, but that is Plan "B"
