Looking for Bluetooth Suite software-Windows 7 & 8.1

I would like to have more Bluetooth functionality in these OS's. Namely, see the battery icon like in iOS & a simpler add/remove devices menu, especially in Windows 8.1. I've searched but haven't come across any alternatives. Anything out there?
