We are looking for some beta testers to help test our new webservice / website. The concept of the webservice is brand new and we feel very beneficial to shoppers. Please only volunteer if you are serious and will actually test and provide feedback (both good and bad). In return we don't have anything to give you besides an inside look at our webservice :). Please PM me if your interested.

Thanks in advance,

Okay, so a recurring theme is people asking what does it do.

So here is a brief description. The webservice is designed to be used by email enabled mobile devices (cell phones, pda's, text pagers etc). It is completely free and user driven. The webservice's objective is to allow shoppers to compare prices while at the retail store. By doing this more shoppers can make informed decisions on when and where to buy the paticular items they are looking for. Its explained much better on the site.

Thanks,

Bamavoo, currently it doesn't localize the store. It could be a B&M down the street or it could be a website. If we get enough zipcode data then the possibility to localize deals might be there but currently no.

TranceGOD, yes the dependency of the users for data is key. We have gone back and forth on this. We are looking into setting up ways to TRY to weed out some of the bad prices but of course that won't catch all of them. This is part of the reason we pass back more than just 1 price. We are also looking into possibly rating users and allowing you to view based on the "reliability" of a user. Of course none of these methods are operational right now, and most likely won't be by the time we go live, but we do realize the risk and are accepting any suggestions of how to combat this problem ;). Hopefully it won't be to bad of a problem but the reality is that it very well might be.

Thanks,

Just wanted to let you all know as of this past weekend we have removed the beta status and are now live. The prices beta test prices have been cleaned out and we are starting from ground zero. If you created a login from the beta test, it should still be there for you to use.

For those of you who helped out with the beta, a big thank you goes out to you.
