Hi Guys,
I'm looking for the power user's opinions on whats the latest & greatest Athlon TBird / motherboard / memory combo.
I read the VIA KT133A motherboard roundup a few weeks back and that seemed like a good way to go, but now it appears that there may be better options using the 266MHZ FSB boards and DDR? I have looked at so much information that I am now confused as all hell.
So I'd love to put together the fastest Thunderbird setup available, and looking for opinions on the best combination. The usage of the machine would be mostly: video capture and editing, photo manipulation, web design, some gaming, audio ripping, and other multimedia stuff.
Thanks in advance!

Don't get EPoX 8k7a unless u want to oc, and if u don't want to then go with the following:

ECS K7S5A $70 keeps going out of stock though, may need to look a bit.
2x 256MB Crucial PC2100 DDR 2x$40=$80
1.4GHz Retail T-Bird $130 with Retail HSF
Total: $280 + shipping

That's about the best you can buy right now
