Looking for best (quality and speed) color inkjet printer for $250-$500

I highly recommend the Canon MP730 - xcellent MF printer/scanner/copier... Tons of features - better and more ink-economical than the HPs. I bight it for 350 but now you can get it for around 240...

Everybody loves Canon. I just wish there was somebody besides HP that made printers with normal paper trays. Does HP have some sort of air-tight patent on paper trays that don't suck? It's ridiculous having your paper have to feed in the back in a tray that sticks way up at an angle and makes the printer take up twice as much space.

QUality wise, you can't beat the Epson R800.

The gloss optimizer is awesome, and 8 individual cartridges is nice...

Speed isn't superb, but still quick.

🙂

We actually have an HP laser printer at work, and while it's completely vertical printer tray is very functional, the unit constantly breaks down and starts feeding multiple sheets through the printer instead of just one at a time.

You can bash the angled trays all that you want, but they are much more reliable. You can't mess with the force of gravity. 🙂

Actually, IMO the best trays are the ones that are completely horizontal, but they take up even more space.
