Looking for Best Buy rebate help!

Hello,

I bought a Seagate 120GB drive from BB last month and got 2, $25 rebates.

One is a Seagate rebate and the other is a Best Buy rebate. I'm not exactly sure what goes with what (which is why I haven't sent it out yet), and looking at the receipts, I'm still confused.

I got 2 rebate receipts, but one of them asks for the original receipt and the other for a copy.

Are the rebate receipts okay to use?

What's the right way to match the UPC, UPC copy, 2 rebates and receipts to get my $50?

Please answer soon, I have 2 hours to have it all ready for the post office before they are unclaimable 🙁

Rebate receipts are printed so you can use them AS originals, so you can use each rebate receipt for each rebate. Copy refers to a photocopy, which can usually be used with one when there are two for the same item.

Just take one rebate form, fill it out, put a rebate receipt in it, the original UPC from the packaging and anything else it asks for, seal it up and send it.

Take the other rebate form, fill it out, put the other rebate receipt in it, the photocopy of the UPC from the packaging and anything else ti asks for, seal it up and send it.

WHATEVER YOU DO: Have it postmarked by today. If you get it wrong, fine, they'll grant you an extension, but you HAVE to have it postmarked by today, or you're SOL.

Good luck!

Edit: Grammar check. Ha ha!

Hmm...

I don't find the rebate thing difficult at all. Maybe you should just leave it to the store tech to install, if you can't even figure out how to send in a rebate. 😕

Thanks so much Mr Austin, much appreciated, everything worked out great.

farmercal, rebate forms are vague and proper instructions are often not given honestly by companies who have no desire to hand out rebates, so I'd rather hear it from somebody who knows instead of Best Buy. Plus, I'd rather be certain than lose $50. Didn't think to ask Anandtech until the last second!

Amaroque, go to hell, troll.
