Looking for Andriod phone that has a line out

Hey guys!

I'm looking for Andriod phone that has a line out straight from the DAC with no amp in between. I'm trying to decide on my next phone and I might just go with the next revision of the iPhone since out of the dock connector you can get a line out. I was really looking forward to the Samsung Infuse 4G.

Just one thing: I will NOT buy a motorola phone.

I haven't been able to find anything either. I guess this is why Apple uses their dock connector vs regular usb.

no android phone that I know of has a line out. however I haven't had any SQ issues using the headphone jack on my nexus one. no clipping or distortion that I can hear. I've used it with the aux-in on my car, and the front inputs on my receiver (via a 8mm->rca adapter) without issue.


the other alternative is to get an a2db bluetooth receiver with line out, which would then work with any phone with a2dp support.

but, if you specifically need line out for some reason, I guess iPhone is your only option.

I really hate the "noise" that I get from the amps that are built into mobile devices. I prefer to use my own headphone amp.

Yeah, HDMI would work with a receiver, but not for a headphone amp.

i think bt is currently your only option if you want android then. personally, i've been happy enough with my nexus 1 driving my hd280s from the headphone jack.
