Just bought a HP m8100n on sale with a HP w1907 monitor. I would like to ditch the onboard graphics for a new card. The salesman kinda scared me with a story about buying a graphics card that was too big for the case. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a card?

It's a bit difficult to recommend a card without knowing your price range and what you are going to use it for.

So please enlighten us. Will you be gaming a lot? Do you want to play the latest games with all the eye candy? What's your budget?

Also, keep in mind that you may need to budget for a new PSU (power supply) to handle the more powerful video card.

Sorry about that. I would like to not spend over $400. A new psu is a definate. Like I said my biggest concern is will it fit the case. I will be gaming a lot, mainly WoW and CnC3.

For those 2 games a 1950xt would be plenty, hell a 1950pro will do and so would a 7900gs.

Those sound great. I was kinda hoping to go ahead and get a dx10 card but whatever you recommend will be thought upon highly.

I just went to newegg and found a 7900gs. One of the reviewers stated that the card was very long. Like I said I am worried that the case will not hold this card.
