Looking for an upconverting dvd player.......

The 1 HDMI slot on my TV is used up by my HD-DVR. So I need a DVD player that will upconvert through component. Any recommendations ?

The DVR is what my cable tv comes through, so it's watched 95% of the time. The DVD player would only be used on occasion. So I'd like to keep the DVR on HDMI.

HERE is one that uses component, as well as HDMI.

Model #?

AFAICT, it only supports upconversion on the HDMI output.

Link at BB.

LG website link.

actually it does upconvert on component.. we have it hooked to a 50" maxent plasma.. it works on upconvert.

On the back of the unit the box says upconvert 480p, 720p, 1080i (right where the component connectors are) and it says 1080i on the HDMI. Look at the pictures from best buy the picture of the back panel says it all!

But that's the model... DN191H

For some reason the industry seems to be deliberately attempting to make Component hookups obsolete. I dunno why exactly, unless we start to wander into reynolds wrap habedashery territory. The last time I asked that question I got an answer of, "no player like that exists."

Personally I just use the XBox. May wind up being cheaper anyway.
