ok........my older MP3 player broke down about 2 months ago (the usb is fine, only its connector is dead...the repair shop said that it can be repaired, but he couldnt find the right transistor ).............so i am looking for a new one....but i cant find a good one....

here is a list of features i am looking out for:

- price is not more than 70-80 dollars
- 1 GB (or more) space
- MP3 player (with WAV / WMA support if possible)
- Voice recorder
- FM tuner & recorder
- Color display
- preferablly photo and video playback as well.....

i found the following at egg, but i dont know if the companies are good or not....

If I may, I suggest going for a Zen over an iPod. They have better battery life, less prone to scratches and a better signal to noise ratio.

hmmm.........do u guys know any mp3 player related forums ?? no offense, but i think such a forums could probably help me more on this topic 😛.......

We gave you good help.
Its up to you to decide if you want to take it or not.

You could take your chances in the Off Topic section of the forums, but you'll get twice as many silly replies as useful ones.

To be fair the combination of features/specs such as 1 GB and color display is not likely to be cheap.
Especially if you want a quality player.
There is quite a few brands out there that do decent stuff and Apple is definitely NOT the best among the bunch.
So you have Samsung, iRiver, Cowon and Creative for example.
If I were you I would either give up on color display and get 1GB flash player
or get something more expensive with 30 GB that can play movies and all.

EDIT:
I actually found a really good deal on zen nano plus 1GB for only $63 from newegg

The only problem: this one is PINK 😉

Check your local Staples or CC. I believe the Zen Nano Plus is being discontinued, and both stores have had them on sale for a while. I picked up 2 a couple weeks ago (one for me, one for my father) from Staples for $70.
