Looking for an lcd Monitor

I've been looking for a new lcd monitor to replace my crt and I'm looking for suggestions.

Budget: $250-300
Main Use: Movies/tv shows, and web surfing w/the occasional gaming
Prefer 16:10 aspect ratio
Size: 22"-24"

I not in a rush so I can wait around for a deal or newer model.

The ones I've kinda been looking at are
Dell UltraSharp 2209WA
SAMSUNG ToC T220HD

iirc both are 16:9, and the dell has an IPS panel which I hear is a better panel than the TN. What are your opinions on those two monitors? Any other suggestions?
