If I said I'll make the site, do everything, and all you have to do is provide a list of hand-picked games, then what percentage of profit would you expect to keep, and what percentage would I get?

I don't know how I'm giving you guys this idea :p - This is one of those topics where I keep saying one thing but everyone else reads another thing. I am still appreciative of all the help though.

I must say you are not doing a very good job of convincing us :p it sounds like you just want somebody to implement your hobby for free, with dubious benefits even in the extremely remote chance of striking it rich. Does not compute.

Well, I said I have a lot of good SEO resources and know how to get people to a site, which is different than me trying to convince people that I have "spectacular" SEO knowledge and game reviewing skills. That I never suggested.

Dunno what else to tell ya's. Don't help if you don't want to, otherwise I don't know why you would care to reply much. I understand your arguments and see you're trying to help...in some way, heh. I'm not asking for someone else to do all the work and have me reap all the benefits. The worst case scenario is the site will flop and I won't be able to compensate the designer, but I really don't see that happening. The designer would get a fair % of ad earnings, whether it be $2 or $200. I'm not promising anything because I'm not sure if the site will make money at all, being my first web site. I'm looking and hand picking/collecting flash games everyday and making a mini review of them. I'll have 100 pages of unique content when the site launches (the 'unique' content being my ignorable mini-reviews, not the games themselves). Not to mention I have the domain, and hosting already. I even drew up a blueprint of how simple the site would be (linked on the first page somewhere). All the designer has to do, with my help, is design two very simple pages, with the help of my instruction. Probably not as simple as it seems, nothing ever is :)

So, I don't like being ragged on as a freemonger/slacker, since I'm doing my fair share as well. It's easy to jump to that conclusion though when I don't offer anything up front, so I understand where you're all coming from. But, like I said, I'm not forcing (or expecting) anyone to help me with this. Luckily for you, you can choose not to do it, and you won't have to worry about it a bit.

There's a big difference between saying you know something and actually doing it. Have you actually ever successfully applied your SEO skills to a website?

Actually, it looks like you are.

Wow, you must have a real shiny crystal ball.

How exactly will you help?

Like an earlier poster said, start a blog, write some reviews and back up your words with real content, not vaporware.

Me: Did I not mention about 10 times this would be my first website?

Actually, it looks like you are.

Me: Why does it look like that?

Is anyone reading my posts? =/ - Just look at my last post. There's no reason to keep ragging on me, if you don't want to help, you don't have to. If anyone's interested, just PM me. No one should reply to this thread anymore.
