Looking for an External HDD Enclosure

Which is a good external HDD enclosure?

Which chipset should I look for?

Which is the best combination of durability, light weight and not too noisy?

Is it better to be powered via the USB connection or to have a sepparate power supply?

Is it better to get a 3.5 for my HD and another 5.25 for a CD-RW or to get a 5.25 to switch between the HD and CD-RW?

Are there any other factors I should consider?

Who has the best price?

Thanks for the help.

Agree with that. I have 2 Bytecc enclosures, 1 5.25/3.5 and 1 2.5 and am very pleased with both. 99% of the time with the ME-911, it does net need the pwr adapter to run.

I have Enermax enclosure. Works great. Get hot during heavy use, which is actually good, because it means that enclosure cools HD.
It's USB 2.0 only (no Firewire).
