I am looking for a combination of calendars that i can use between my mac and my android. i use the calendar function on my phone more than just about anything.

here is my dilemma, i know i can sync ical and google calendar, but not if i want all of my colour codings. I want to be able to have calendars that are colour coded for different aspects of my job, it makes my life so much easier being able to do this, but I need to be able to do this with my phone as well as my computer, and i find outlook terrible to work with, just my personal preference.

is there an app that can either link with ical, or a combination of apps that can run on my mac and sync onto my phone and be colour coded.

i know the obvious thing to do would be to get an iPhone, but I just don't really want to get an iPhone, i prefer android.

any help would be appreciated, even if its to tell me I just have wishful thinking and it won't be possible.

Wish I could help, but when I went android I also decided to use all google services. It didnt cost me anything and it works better. Only calendar I bother with is under Gmail. I enter most things on the computer and view them on the phone.
My WP7 device does all of Gmails calender stuff too. No need for separate programs. Is there something you absolutely have to use on ical, cuz Gmails calender has color coding and plenty of other features.

Gmail has colour coding, but that doesn't seem available on my android phone, unless i'm a complete dunce, and that ability has been there all along, i'm gonna go double check.
