Looking for an alternative to Antec SLK 1650B

Went to my friendly local computer shop for a price quote on a new system. I was all set on the Antec SLK1650B case, w 350watt PS.

The thing has been back-ordered since the Holidays, here in the Canadian distribution channel. As I am tired of waiting, I have searched for an alternative in the same price/quality/feature range.

I want a 120 mm case fan, a solid power supply (min 350 watts), ATX form factor, room for at least 4 3.5 in. drives. Don't care much about windows and lights.

Edit: I would prefer a model with no door.

The case will probably host a MSI K8NGM2-FID mATX board, but I want ample room for my drives and a future video card, so that is why I don't want a mATX case.

I have searched by myself (cases+ PS and case/PS combos) but am unable to find something that is equivalent to the SLK1650B. I don't want to pay 50$ more just because I am tired of waiting :disgust:

Thanks for your suggestions

The Chenming 501 is the same as the Antec 1650. Inwin has several models that would probably do. But I'd probably recommend the Evercase 4252 or 4292. Their included PSUs are mainly from Fortron/Sparkle (at least from Newegg they are). Another option is the Compucase (now HEC Group) 6A19 (same as the SLK3700-AMB except for the colors and bezel) - see it at directron.com. The included PSU is only 300W, but equal to similar Fortron in that it will be able to put out more than spec for limited periods. Of course, IDK if any of these are available there...

For 4 3.5" drives, I'd suggest a better case -- one with intake fans which cool the drives. The SLK3000 for example., or getting a case with >= 4 external 5.25 slots, a door or grill, and a Thermaltake iCage (takes 3 external 5.25 slots, leaving one for an optical drive). The SLK3000 can do that too.

Zepper, thanks for the ideas. It seems the Inwin line are the only models I can readily get here in the Great White North. They have a couple of interesting models with 350 watts power supplies that I will check out, although the 12 V power on the Antec seems higher.

Thanks also to you Madwand1. The SLK3000 with a decent 350 watts Antec PS will be near the price of the Antec TX640B, which I would prefer because it has no door.
